Ishaan
Food for thought, think for good.

I am Ishaan, and I have started this blog as an 11th grader. As a child, I wasn’t particularly sensitive to societal or humanitarian issues. However, when I entered my pre teens , I increasingly noticed the immense academic pressure Indian students were subject to, in order to manufacture geniuses in the fields chosen by their parents, guardians, and many people except themselves. Though such concern for a topic such as academic burdening was rather shallow, this was the beginning of me opening my eyes to very real issues. The deliberate snatching of individual opportunities, the gross negligence of the most vulnerable sections of our society has disgusted me. I strive to be a part of the solution, then. I have previously vented my thoughts, emotions, opinions and also expressed a starry-eyed hope through poems, two collection of which have been published at the age of 13 and 14 respectively- “Musings of a Young Mind” and “Imperfect Metamorphosis -Echoes of the Uncalm Mind”.
My poems, my articles and what I say, are opinionated. They may be inaccurate and grossly wrong, and I strive to be proven so, but I take pride in my opinionated life, no matter how pompous it may sound. I want to use my voice for making a difference, for the better preferably. That voice may be hoarse or nasal or be so, so wrong, but it shall never crack or worse, stop. I shall still write those poems. I shall still speak. I shall still read. I shall still think, for as Descartes said, “I think, therefore I am”.
